Anosh Koppiker on the Spirit of Bandhavgarh

If you're talking tigers, you're talking Bandhavgarh. It’s where my love for safaris truly deepened—over 20 years ago, back when Tala was the only zone. Today, with the additions of Khitauli and Magadhi, this park offers a rich variety of landscapes—from bamboo thickets to eerie dark forest patches like Andhiyari Jhiriya. Bandhavgarh keeps you on edge—in the best way. One moment, silence; the next, a tiger may emerge from the shadows. My all-time favorite? The majestic Dotty with her four cubs, a scene that felt straight out of a wildlife documentary.
