Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve
Nestled in Madhya Pradesh's Umaria district within the Vindhya Range, Bandhavgarh National Park, established in 1968, is a renowned tiger sanctuary. Its name, from Hindu mythology, means 'brother's fort.' The park features open meadows, Sal forests, and bamboo thickets, hosting diverse flora and wildlife, including a high density of tigers and other carnivores and prey species.
